We know the new school year is going to be interesting to say the least! In the event of social distancing or even working from home and Zooming, we are offering some new, flexible learning options with both the Quirkles and Fuddlebrook series.
We’ve gone through our books and determined which experiments would be most suitable to go in a student kit for each series. We will offer a carrying case for both series that would have all the ingredients/instructions/safety goggles for 10 experiments from ten different books in each series. This assumes the educator would read the story via Zoom or in an acceptable way–whiteboard, small groups, individual student, etc.– then would also lead the students through the activities at home or school. Each child would have their own “mini” experiment kit. We could do this kit in the $40-$45 range plus shipping. These are simple activities that would still offer a lot of fun interactivity.
Of course, both the Quirkles and Fuddlebrook book sets are available in digital sets, and we’ve made obtaining science supplies super easy by shopping and organizing them for you. There’s also student workbooks available to reinforce learning. Students can use these at school or at home.
Two other options to consider would be to have us film for you some of the neater activities that would need to be more observational due to safety reasons or complexity. You could use these links as part of your Zoom sessions too for other books or project on screen. If that would be an interest, we could cost that out.
Finally, we could offer a fun training session via Zoom showing how all this could work/be integrated if you might have an interest. Cost would be contingent on time/what you would want.
